In the WiFiPlusPlus Android app, go to the Desktop tab, tap "Scan QR" to point your camera at the screen (or type the 6 digits). Your laptop immediately connects and opens the phone share dashboard without typing complex IP addresses.

How does Mobile to Mobile transfer work between two phones?

One phone chooses "Send" (which creates a local high-speed Wi-Fi Direct hotspot and displays an encrypted QR code). The second phone chooses "Receive", scans the QR code, and connects instantly. Both devices stream heavy 4K videos, photos, and files at up to 50 MB/s without any internet, cables, or SIM card mobile data.

Why does WiFiPlusPlus ask for Camera and Nearby Devices permissions?

Camera permission is used solely when scanning the Desktop Web Connect QR code or peer connection QR codes—no photos or videos are ever captured or saved to storage. Nearby Devices (NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES on Android 13+) is required by Google Play to discover nearby peer phones over Wi-Fi Direct. WiFiPlusPlus NEVER accesses or tracks your geographic GPS location.

Does transferring files use my mobile internet or cellular data pack?

No! WiFiPlusPlus uses hardware Wi-Fi Direct and local device hotspots. Communication happens directly hardware-to-hardware over the airwaves. You can even turn off your SIM card and mobile data completely, and file transfers will still operate at peak 50 MB/s speeds.

What happens if the connection drops during a large 10 GB file transfer?

WiFiPlusPlus is built with a Byte-Range Partial Resume Engine. If you step away or get disconnected, simply reconnect and send again; the receiver will query how many bytes were already received and resume transfer right from that exact point without starting over.

Is there any file size limit (e.g. 4K movies or 20 GB games)?

Accepted Answer

There is absolutely NO file size limit. WiFiPlusPlus streams files via native low-level binary socket chunks directly into your storage disk without loading entire files into RAM.
